DIRAC can't find the AVR on the network

After an update the unit can hang onto some of the settings that it had before that are now no longer relevant to the new software. This can have unusual symptoms including an impact on networking.

If the unit hasn’t been updated then update it and then perform a factory reset. The factory reset can be performed 2 different ways:

  1. Press and hold the “INFO” and “ZONE” buttons on the front panel of the unit simultaneously for approximately 5 seconds. The unit will drop into standby and when it is awoken will be reset.
  2. Press and hold the “MENU” button on the front panel for approximately 5 seconds until the service menu appears. The top option is “reset to factory defaults”. Select this and then follow the on screen prompt. Again the unit will drop into standby and be reset when it is woken back up.

Occasionally the simple act of using the internet radio on the unit has helped. Make sure that (presuming you are using unit software 4.10) you are also using Dirac version 1.2.1.8427 or version 1.2.2.8483.

Make sure all unnecessary network traffic is prevented (switch off as much else on the network as possible). This is particularly the case if there are any other IP control devices like Crestron, Control 4 connected to the unit/network. Turn these off.
